The 70-200 f/4 IS is a terrific lens -- I have owned one for six years and love it. Sharp wide open, great image quality and fast, accurate AF performance in a small, light form factor. It also takes a 1.4x TC very well with minimal reduction in IQ or AF performance. Enjoy your new present. You are in for a treat.

Fingers still crossed. Yeah she knows how much the 2.8 costs so i'm sure that went a long way to getting the 4.

Will be hilarious if she got you the white lens coffee mug!!!

Canon 70D/70-200 f4/17-55 2.8/BG-E9/430EZ I like DSLR's. It makes a distinction between photo fans and normal people who don't give a damn how a picture could look like

I think I'm getting the vagabond mini power pack for my aliens bee's :)

I could only dream of being gifted a lens with a red ring......

Well, well, well.
She went ahead and got me the 2.8 is 2 instead of the 4.
Needless to say i was gobsmacked when i unwrapped it.
I thought it was a bit heavy when she gave it to me.

She's a keeper this one.
