That worked. Andrew had already got everything taken care of, I just hadn't received any emails about it yet or any updates on the offers page.

Everything has been excepted as above prices and is either being or been processed.

I was going to buy the 24-70Mkii as soon as my new discover card arrived so that I can use the 5% cash back along with the welcome100 code.. I noticed though that the price went back up to $2300!! from $1999. I started the "chat" on greentoe.com and was able to speak with the man Andrew. He assured me i should still be bale to get the vendors to agree to selling for 2000.00 so with the code and the rebate id be walking away with the lens for 1500.00

2000
-100 (5% cash back)
-100( welcome100)
-300 ( canon rebate)

well see how it goes but Ill definately be happy with greentoe.com if all goes well.

Discover card promotion has a $1,500 limit on 5% back. That means $75 maximum.

So i mentioned to you guys about the canon rebates... here is the response i got as well as my question to them.

---------------
Hello,

In determining the household, we actually have to verify your billing, shipping and address you place on the rebate form as your on the rebate form must match the billing or shipping address. Unfortunately your situation below would be a violation of Canon's rebate policy.

Subject: Rebate

So i know that the rebates say 1 lens per household. I was wondering how you guys measure household. Does it go by the billing/ shipping address, or does it go by the address that is placed on the rebate form?

Here is the situation, I bought a few of the same lenses and submitted rebates on them for different addresses. I purchased the lenses at different times on the same credit card. I also had them shipped to my work address.

On the rebate form, I did everything that they asked me to do and included a different address on each of the forms?

I just want to ask, is this a violation of canon's rebate policy and if my rebates will go through because of this or not?

The only thing i read about it was that it was 1 per household and i wanted to verify what you guys mean by household.

Thanks!

Hey Helen, I'm having some trouble returning a lens I bought from Adorama through GreenToe. I was wondering if you can help a fellow POTN member out :P.

If it is 'change of heart' you only need follow return instructions on the website. If it is faulty & within 30 days email me Helen@adorama.com (external link) with your order number. If it's faulty & after 30 days you need to return to manufacturer under warranty.
I'm not back in the office now til Sunday

Anyone buy a tripod + head combo before? Wondering if there's anyway to make an offer for a kit/bundle on greentoe.

Does this GreenToe thing work with Canon's big lens (300, 400, 500 etc.)? I did a quick search of the thread, but no luck.

Thanks

Sure... I went to greentoe.com and typed in canon 500mm in the search box on the home page and the big guy popped up! ;) Just do a search on the site.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.
