It's been 5 weeks since I got to image and I wanted to get some scope time in before I get rusty. Bright Moon and red zone LP pushed me to a brighter target, and I really like M42.

Modded T2i and CLS-CCD filter, 20 sec images for the core and 120 sec images for the rest.

Thanks for looking

Mo

Very nice processing Mo. The dark background and the way you've done the Trapezium area gives it a nice glow.

Steve.

Thank you guys. That's a pretty good one to get from my drive way. I'm going to try some Ha and OIII narrowband shots tonight. I hate to waste a clear night, but the Moon is wrecking most of it tonight.

Steve the Trap is always one of the things that's impossible to please everyone. I think it should be very bright the way it would look, some like it way to dim for my taste. Kind of like the core in Andromeda.

Mo

Thank you guy's. I'm starting to get astro withdrawal. It's either clouds or work. Why does that other stuff have to get in the way of me freezing in the middle of nowhere? :)
