What is a good price for a 95 MB/s SD card?

I'm looking at a SanDisk 32GB Extreme Pro (95 MB/s) SD / SDHC card ... selling for about $60 on Amazon and B&H. This appears to be the "regular" price, but according to camelcamelcamel it doesn't look like these cards go on sale very often or at all.

Is $60 a decent price for this card, or should I hold out for a better deal?

I could also get a PNY card for a lot less, but from a few reviews the actual speeds don't match its advertized speeds (90 MB/s for read and write) and for whatever reason PNY doesn't seem to have a good reputation on here.

Apparently this is the regular price for this card and doesn't seem to go on sale by more than a few dollars.

I have seen the 80 mbs sandisk extremes 32 gb for 25 - 30 at Amazon in the past. That's the read speed. Write is probably 45 to 60. Not sure if the 70d can even write that fast, so the only advantage going to the newer 95 might be when copying from or reading from. Curious to know if the 70d is quick enough.

I think the 70d can take advantage of uhs-1, where my t3i cannot.

They go for around 110+ locally here. At 60 bucks they are a smoking deal.

I bought two back in March from Amazon and they were $67 each. Screaming fast cards, though. They really made a difference in my 6D's high speed continuous shooting speed. With my older cards, which were a paltry 30mb/s, the 6D would get 8 or 9 RAW shots and pause. With the 95mb/s cards, it does about 20 shots before slowing, but keeps going after that. I wouldn't think the newer 70D would be slower. If anything, it's probably faster.

Good to know. My t3i becomes the bottleneck with anything greater than 45mbs. Shooting in burst mode with raw is very painful.

Now I know when I upgrade I can use faster cards...so any future purchases will be the 95mbs.

Cheapest I found em was 58 on Amazon. Sony makes a 95 for less but no experience with how they perform..

I think the Sony ones only read at 95. I think they write at 60 or so. I could be wrong, though.

I like the sandisk 95/mbs or the lexar 600X. Both very good and fast.
