Went camping on the weekend and my son runs up to me and says "dad, dad, I found a lizard to photograph. He takes me back to where he saw it, some 50m up the river, I I think surely its gone by now.

No, still there, and in a position that allows me to shoot from below. He even hung around after jumping in the water

It's an Australian Eastern Water Dragon.

West of Sydney in the Hawkesbury area, Yarramundi Crossing is lousy with the Dragons!
