My first L lens was 24-105m. A great all-around lens. I eventually had to sell about a year later after reading rumors about IS version, I'm willing to wait and hope for one. ^^' Canon EOS 70D -

After owning a 350D since '06 and getting by with the kit lens and 75-300 till I bought a 7D in November last year. I've accumulated a few other lenses since then, and finally purchased my first "L", a 70-200 f4, last month. Love the lens so far. Still learning.

Didn't have to save up but I did have to convince myself to drop that kind of moolah on a lens...especially given that I just got into the photog thing a few months ago. Figured I'd get the f4 to save some change since low light shooting wasn't a priority. Haven't got to use it much yet, but from all the comments and pics I've seen on it, I'm uber excited to. Some moments are too amazing to be ruined with words.

Dec 23, 2013 18:49 | #1648 I got my 100-400 in August. I had rented one to go to an air show, and really liked it. That helped me make up my mind on what to buy, and I like my copy even better. 5Dc, 60D, Rokinon 8mm/3.5, Rokinon 14mm/2.8, Canon 40mm/2.8, Canon 100-400mm/4.5-5.6
