I think my arteries clogged up by about 50% from just looking at that M_Six wrote in post #16554036 ![]() speedsync, my first step up from a 5MP P&S was the Panny Lumix FZ-18. I have many good images taken with it on our trip to Europe a few years back. I've always wondered if the LX line could do as well as other mirrorless bodies. It depends on how big you want to print, really. It only has 10MP from memory, and the extra MP from the other formats can be very beneficial when cropping etc. You also have to work a lot harder to knock the background out of focus with the LX. Small sensor syndrome. You have to be more deliberate when positioning your subject in relation to the background. Sometimes that's just not possible.

Let me know if you're interested. PS I'm not knocking the M here, or trying to dissuade people from buying it, so the princesses can unbunch their knickers right now. That'd be cool. I'm looking for a good glove box camera to leave in my car so I don't get stuck without a camera when I see something interesting. The Panny LZ10 I have now just doesn't cut it and I use my M too often to let it sit in the car all the time. Mark J.
