BTW - I'm under NDA on what I've seen in regards to new products at Elinchrom. But i can say that there is a new photograph on the Elinchrom website which has a clue about something that will be released in the future.

Cool stuff Brendan, thanks for sharing. Curious to see what they come out with. Any suggestions on where to look on the Eli website for new photos? :)

I will say though that they do pay extremely close attention to customer feedback and if you have any issues in particular, feel free to reach out to them here: http://www.elinchrom.com/support_account.php (external link) (Create an account and contact them.) Realize that the more they hear of an issue, the more likely they are to fix it.

OK multiple accounts to complain about all the crap that broke on me

I need to apply for QC haha 39 DO foil is coming up on me finally. 500bxri buttons are all cracked.

Looking for opinions from you Elinchrom experts.
Which light stands do you use to support lights? Not the pack heads but the monolights 500BXRi / 600RX / etc.
Thanks-

C stands

+1
After starting out with cheap stands years ago and upgrading to "medium to heavy duty" stands a year later, I'm now with C stands. There is no substitute for confident stability.

That flew off the side of dead mans point. My insurance is lost/stolen/damaged and they will repair or replace at current market price.

Thats not bad, in the UK most insurances would screw you over before paying out anything... :/

Some photos from Elinchrom headquarters.

Nice, always thought Elinchrom is a smallish company. Great to see how well they do. :)

Well it seems the consensus currently is c-stands. Any recommendations on which ones?
Thanks!

No C Stands for me, but I'm a hack. I like tripod stands with an adjustable leg, especially on location with uneven surfaces.

Go ahead, spin the wheel.

I'm accross the canal just south of Ballard, the town Seattle usurped in 1907.

No C stands here either. Different strokes, different folks. Love the regular stands.

Alright a split vote. I actually have two tripod stands currently. They are nicer for location work. Any suggestions as to which tripod based stands are strong enough to hold the 500's or 600's plus a soft box?
Thanks-
