This is a 30 second exposure, on a tripod, with a 3 stop ND filter.

Jason, that capitol building at night is stunning.

Here's one from the other night, I was hoping for a good sunset but didn't get one, did get some nice lights instead though.

I took these yesterday with my new 18-138 STM.

Do you consider them "soft"..

Backcountry snowboarding is getting into full swing! The 70D and 18-135 STM is a great combo for the landscape and action shots.
I've been pretty happy with this lens. So far my one complaint would be that it seams a little soft on the edges.

Hello All,

Does anyone have a direct comparison or input with this lens and the Canon 15-85mm??

I love my 15-85mm but the extra range of the newer 18-135mm STM would serve better for me as a general purpose lens.

---------------

I'm not concerned about build quality or the distance scale but strictly in regards to image quality. Is the newer 18-135mm STM as sharp in most instances, what about color saturation and vignetting?

I briefly owned the early model 18-135mm and found it quite sharp but it suffered from some strong vignetting, so I'm curious to know if this newer STM unit has improved in that regards.

Thanks,
Ralph

This lens is a new purchase for me - I needed a walkabout for 'travelling light' situations, as happened when I went out to Spain for New Year. I was pleased with the initial results. AF and IS both eerily quiet. Some CA needing fixed in ACR, but no more than to be expected from such a spec.

Here are a few of my first images with it (on 7D)...

A few from the other night. I want to get some more lenses for my 70D but this one is so versatile. Anyone shooting with the 55-250 STM, how does it compare?
