They loaded this rider into an ambulance not long after I took this photo:

I just spent a month in Hawaii travelling between Kauai, Maui, the Big Island & Oahu so got see lots of great stuff and had opportunity to take many photos including these guys doing cliff jumping.

The first pic from the top was actually taken with my 1dx, but the underwater shot was taken with the 7d...

I was amazed how shallow the water actually was and how many jumpers hit the rocky bottom.

Very sweet shots. What kind of setup were you using for the 7D? Fixed mount with natural light and remote trigger?

I'm thinking underwater photography is going to have to be one of the things I explore in the next decade or so.

Hahaha....Nothing as flash as that....Just the 7d itself in a cheap housing....I set all camera settings before I hopped in the water, then I just tread water waiting for the guys to jump, and as soon as I see them leap, I quickly duck underwater and snap the pic as they enter.

From a show I shot 6 months ago. Being a professional wrestler myself, I thought in my elder years to turn to photographing the sport I love so much. I have done a couple shows, with those pics at my Horns Up Photography FB page, the main problem I encountered was the low lighting so had to crank up the ISO and lower shutter speed which sacrificed detail and quality. Caught this one of Black Pearl getting kicked with a nice flush boot to the face by TMD.

Shot from the stands with a 135 f2 on a 1.6 crop. Shot at "lowish res" and cropped in PS.
Crits are most welcome. Thanks.

Hey Mike, welcome to POTN! Maybe check the post header for your shots as you may want to post your link in the general sports forum for feedback on your gallery. This one's specific for "impending impact/injury/general bad outcome" of a captured moment in sports - maybe not quite what your gallery was intended? Nice bball shots - have been curious what shooting a game with a fixed 135 length would be like as I've enjoyed the flexibility of my 70-200. Good stuff!

Yamaico Navarro dives for a foul ball off the third base line in Fenway Park, but misses the ball - and gets an error for his effort.

Taken July 2011 with a 7D using a 100-400L at 400mm, 1/512 sec, f/5.6, ISO 3200.
