I don't know much about bird shots but I am pretty stoked with this. Especially considering it was shot wide open with a 1.4TC and as we all now from threads on here the 6D AF is soooo terrible you can't even capture active children with it:rolleyes:. The 135 bokah is still sick even with the TC.

Nice shot, Nick! Any PP on this? Shooting a white bird is always tricky. Did your RAWs show any blown highlights? I would pull back the highlights so that you get a lot more feather detail.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Thanks scrum. This is believe it or not basically SOOC. I twitched like 3 sliders and didn't want to play with it more. I will try to get the feathers to come out, I didn't want to do anything to mess up the background because to me that dreaminess is more the shot than the bird. It does look like white clips on the bird though.

I just posted a help thread in the bird section. I really am not into bird shooting, but we have an awesome wetlands by us that is a great relaxing walk and I like to take pictures obviously so I want to be capable when I go there. My mind isn't in it though because I don't know what to do......I want to take off my bigger lens and put on my 24 the whole time I am there and take landscapes or creative shots at 1.4:lol:

I was in the very spot you got those shots! Going back soon I hope.

I'd also like to get to your Home Land. Something tells me I could find a few things to photograph. ;)

Getting through some of my airplane shots from last month finally...

This plane was just starting to get taxi's out of it's gate as I took this photo. I think the copilot in the other plane sees my camera? Looks like he's directly looking at it!
