Thanks for the comments folks, shot on location near Blanchard Springs in Arkansas, a lovely place for photos.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Great shot and background is really terrific if that's real! I dislike the crop... I felt like the bottom part of the photo was missing.

Seems like all your Portraits are Within a Backdrop or something.... Shot not Centered or Cropped even. The Model looks somewhat ilproportioned to the Backdrop
JMHO.

Interesting in that the lighting simply doesn't fit a typical outdoor on-location shot. Lighting is very soft with only a single light that I can see high left. The light seems large while reflection in the eye doesn't match a large light. I'm actually amazed that one light can get such a soft look both frontal and on top of the hair.

The background simply doesn't match the subject light at all. In a way this is actually not good since it looks like a studio portrait with a painted background.

Just trying to figure this out so please share more about the photo and background.
