Hey Kristy,

If I can get away, I was planning on hitting the Trade Show on Sunday the 12th. I hope you can make it, it's been too long since I saw any on the POTN group.

hey everyone.

I will be in phoenix for a shoot on the 6th with a cool car... can anyone recommend some locations for me?

not sure if there are some mountainous roads that over look the city or maybe some significant local historic location or what.

Its a car and not a 4x4 so i cant take it offroad... thanks for any ideas you can offer.

I actually haven't been there but I think South Mountain holds some good areas for shooting.

Phone shots from the floor.

Highlight was holding the 1dx with the 200-400 attached.... 20k worth of gear in one set up makes me drool.

Got there right as the doors were being opened to the expo. I don't think there was that many people there last time Imaging USA was in Phoenix. A few of the presentations looked like they were interesting, but there was just too many people and I couldn't get close enough to see/hear well.

I did get some inspiration to get out and shoot again.

It was much better after 2pm, morning was busy. Sony booth had some great free speakers. Canon guys were not friendly and the CPS area was not great however I may run my cameras down there for a cleaning tomorrow or Tue.

I also got to play with the new Tamron 150-600

I got some good inspiration as well

The booth was crowded when I was there. The Canon gent I spoke to, told me to get the 70D over the 7D if I wanted a $1000+ camera to replace my old XTi. The lens collection I have puts it to shame but it is hacked to get 3000 iso.

Blue-J | Canon XTi | EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM (daily shooter), EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM (super telephoto), Sigma MACRO 105mm F2.8 EX DG, all with hoods and filters | Canon Speedlite 580EX | Brother MFC-8680DN Scanner | Lightroom 4.X (x64)
