^^cool!! Where is that?

It's actually outside the Star Tours ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's a "4D" ride, i.e., moving room with 3D projection to give the feeling of riding in a space ship, escaping from the Empire.

in other words "vomit inducing entertainment" I was there many years ago and recall taking a much less impressive shot of the AT-AT

...ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!
Gerald Broflovski*
Damn it!... He's using the Chewbacca defense!
Cochran*
Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.

:)

Hi All,

First post with my new copy of this lens. I've read through 178 pages of this thread… Got out today, and am still trying to figure out if I've got a good or bad copy. Some of the pictures have a soft side to them on the left outside of the image. Any input would be appreciated!

This one has some softness on the left side.

Here's another one with a soft left side. I focused on the lichen on the rock using 10x live view and was shooting at either f/8 or f/16.

Try finding a scene where the left and right sides of the frame will be the same and see how it looks. Right now what you've posted does look a bit soft on the left to me, but in the first there's nothing equivalent on the right and in the second the subject is in the foreground on the right and the softness on the left side is also a lower and farther away; again with nothing of equivalence on the right with regards to distance and scale.

^^^Yes Scatterbrained, that's a great point. On my first outing, real world shots and then look at them was my take. I always sort of assume and hope I get a good copy of a lens and try not to peep too much. But after looking at these initial shots further testing and consideration is warranted.

Haven't gotten a chance to test with a shot from both sides for that purpose but here are some more from today processed by SilverEfex Pro.

The best way to test is to shoot a brick wall. Make sure to use a tripod.
