Hell of a homemade macro lens.

I've tried reverse macro. It's different.

Went uptown earlier today to check out the Cloisters. Was not sure of what to expect. The snow was great though.

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot.

Watching the news and this knockout game is still being talked about...give everyone including the person recording should get life in prison for attempted murder. It gets me so mad people do that crap. Its a stupid game and the people playing it are stupid.

ISO 1600, f/11, 1/500

Why do you ask? That have something to do with sensor spots showing up?

go to f/22, then take a photo (at distance) of say, the blue skies or something that is a simple colour (like a wall).

you'll see plenty bits of sensor dust etc.

Big news for me today... Today i rejoined the 9-5 workforce. After a decent hiatus, i'm back in a Software development role downtown.

I plan to sell Symbol Photography in early 2015. As i'm approaching 40, I'm just getting too old for this. Of course now that I've decided this, i'm getting even more swamped with inquiries. Should be an interesting transition for me. I'm hoping it ends up in the hands of someone willing to put as much effort and attention to details that i put in it. We'll see how it goes.

I'll still be around here periodically. I plan to keep some basic kit and still do it as an occasional hobby. Was actually toying with the idea of picking up a Fuji Xpro1 again, now that the there are more lenses available. And only shooting with one of those. Hopefully by 2015 the successor of the XPro1 will be out.

Anyhow, thought that was worth sharing...

no i really like the shot. it's not something i've considered before, i was interested in how you got the DOF and still managed to capture everything without any blurring. very nice.
