Beautiful. How did you come to that final picture?

Cheers.

Photo wise it's a point and shoot shot with 2 ND filters hand held in front of the lens to drop the exposure of the sky. Editing wise, I've made a few adjustments in RAW editor, adjusting the colour temp of the foreground cloud as this looked cold as it's in shadow.

And thats about it - bar walking up hill a couple of hundred meters to the summit that is ;)

Hi All

Got my 70D last week with a 50mm 1.4.... I then bought a Tamron 17-50 non VC. Thus far, very pleased, just grabbed a few shots outside the camera store when I collected her. Shot wide open and full aperture. Very usable at 1:1 pixel!

No post work at all, other than export to JPEG with screen sharpening.

17mm, f2.8. Focussed on the knot of the wood.

17mm, f3.5. wanted a bit lest DOF. Im very pleased with the dynamic range of the camera, shadows and sky all have detail.

39mm, f18. A bit all round sharpness and tighter framing of some buildings.
Midday shooting, so not ideal.

Love the blur quality, and focus at 100% zoom is very impressive. I reckon I will use 2.8, not just stop down due to sharpness as the sharpness level wide open on full width is great.
