Yes good afternoon. It was a few years ago when Scott and I went out that way and saw it. Last year I got the details of the manager so gave him a ring yesterday and we went out.

It is made up of 4 falls that cascade the highest one you can see from road is about 15ft easy to get to base of.

Bit more water and less light may have helped

These are unnamed falls but on the topo maps as Maraetai Stream.
There is a larger one further up but looks like a mission to get to

There is another big one around the next block of land but will need a 4x4 to get to.

I know what you mean, I sat and took umpteen shots of the Mission Bay Fountain sat evening, none of which are presentable :(

Doesn't matter what others have already done, just add something new or do it better.

Maybe ........ but I find with landscapes particularly waterfalls I like to know what im in for before I get there esp on sunny days so I know what time they will be in shade, add to that the water volume between summer and winter levels.

Just planning next trip to piroa falls

Ok I understand where you are coming from now, yep that is called preplanning. I often just go look to see what conditions are like at a certain time.

Some nice photos being posted here.. I like the last waterfall Tony. The bit of grass in the foreground adds an interesting focal point.

I like that last one Chris.
