I'm really loving the images being posted .... Thanks everyone!

Question? Can anyone give me directions to L&D 14 from the Le Claire Super 8. We will be there next week (17th thru the 21st) Any help is appreciated

correct me people if I am wrong with my directions, but it should be south down the main road that you get off from the interstate about 2 miles. It will be on the left, or east and there will be a sign that says something like lock and dam 14. You will cross over some RR tracks and go back north just a little, and then you will be in the parking lot.

Steve is correct. It should take you about 5 minutes to get from the Super 8 parking lot to the dam parking lot. There is a brown sign on the west side of 67 that is about 5'X5' that say Lock and Dam #14 recreation area.

Getting the urge to go again. Looks like 40 degrees is the prediction right now for Sunday. Would be nice if it were sunny as well.

I'm thinking of heading down there later in the month. For those of you who have been there, is a 300 (1.4 & 2.0 converters also available) sufficient, or should I be looking to rent a 500? Also, suggestions on affordable places to stay?

The longer you have the more opportunities you will get. BTW, I shoot with a 200 there. :D

Looks like there will be at least some chance of sun on Saturday. Sunday has the potential to be crowded.

There is a Super 8 just north of the dam. Maybe 5 minutes away.

Wow, tomorrow is looking better and better. Winds out of the west should make for some really good fishing shots.

Bob, You can do a google street view and see exactly what the road looks like as you approach the turn off for the dam.
