^^^ What a nice selection! I envy your bravery battling the cold. Here in NW Ohio, we had 3 days of Level 3 snow emergency, which means ordinary citizens are not allowed on the roads. Temps were also between -15 to -5 for 3 days. So I'm only shooting through my living room window :)
But it's warming up now...

ah good to know my lens is normal for having that rough bokeh at times. Actually I do know it's not the lens' fault but just the lighting of the background.

Er no  Everytime I plug in the dock and star the program it checks for firmware... 2mins later I can adjust... then disconnect and do it again... pain...

Thank you.

A few high ISO bird shots just to test my 70D. Detail is definitely reduced but they still look decent at small size. The last two are not very high. 2x TC used, shooting through double paned glass.

That Starling looks amazing up close. Guess I should try snapping a couple next time (and it won't look weird I'm photographing a pest lol).

I think the Starling and Junco are my favorites Gabe. I see a lot of Starlings here but they have yet to come in close. Any hints on how to bring them in?
The weather was grey and rainy (would've preferred snow) all day today so I took a look through some older files and found this one from September. I miss the green.

Cool macro shot!

Starlings are not regular visitors in my backyard, but when they come, they seem to like my suet a lot. So that's what I'd try. Woodpeckers also love it.

While we're at it, here are some more starling shots taken with my Sigma. I have to point out that the second photo was taken by my wife :)
The last 2 are ISO 8000 and 6400. Child's play for a 6D :)

Yep Gabe, my 6D seems to shrug off anything ISO 12800 and under. Pretty incredible really considering the cost of the camera.

Great shots Gabe, as always. I love the rainbow of colors on the Starlings.
Pax2you and Doofus, you have been getting some great shots as well.

This is my favorite thread on the site.

Thanks Evan, I am flattered to be included in the same compliment as Gabe & Pax2you, but I feel I still have a lot learn about this lens before I worthy of such.
