If anyone is looking for gps co-ordinates to Lock and Dam 14 take left exactly at - 41.34'15.27" N, 90.24'52.50" W if you are coming from the bridge. I'd be there now if I dont have to work on Saturdays :(

The eagles and geese were no longer feeding at rock falls. Something about the warm weather, they must not need to eat as much. They were not at the park either, saw a few down river but most were missing.

Strange, eagle counts are still high. They aren't going to up and leave for a couple of 40 degree days. At least not until next month. Maybe something spooked them.

There were plenty today although as soon as an iPhone photographer showed up they scattered.

I went out there today but it was mostly overcast all day. A couple dozen eagles almost always out over the water but most of them were fishing too far out. It's amazing how fast the ice has disappeared. I never once saw an eagle perch in the trees on the peninsula and only one perched in the trees behind the parking lot. There were dozens of eagles perched in the trees a few hundred yards south of the parking lot.

We went down to 15 for lunch at the Front Street Brewery and there were dozens of eagles in the trees across the river and many fishing at any given time, but again they were farther out in the river.
