"Cinematic" colors/hues and edits

You guys use a preset or pull individual color/hue for each picture type? What about the top/bottom black bands?

^i use individual settings but I have made a few presets from my edits. And as far as the cinemascope bars thats done in photoshop.

^not bad. Some could use a bit of tweaking especially the last 3. The 2nd to last is my favorite. I would take away some sharpening, add a bit of contrast and play with the shadows and highlights.

Thanks for the input. I agree, though I will probably need to have my tendency to try for razor's edge sharpness every time surgically removed from me :).
