The hood has lots of play, but unless you press both tabs it never comes off. At least for me it hasn't. I keep it on all the time, and even in the bag I don't bother reversing it.

Yeah. I agree. It's on securely. I just prefer the twist hoods like on my Sigma as it feels a lot more secure.

I know, I know...but many times I kinda like flare and dang, this hood design is the worst I have ever used!

^This. I like petal hoods but really don't like the look of the full type hoods. It just looks daft to me (I know its not meant to be about looks but function) . Add this to the crazy way it connects and I just don't bother. Embrace the flair :)

^^I still need to try that Eddie^^

If I could have only one FL to use for the rest of my life, it would be 85mm. I feel like I can get 95% of what I want with 85mm.

Little guy turned 6 today. We did the classic Chucky Cheese deal. He was stoked.

Happy birthday lil' big guy. we're like neighbors here, i'm seeing him growing up.

I felt the same with the 85mm. If i have to quit doing some business in photography here and there, i will sell all the other lens except the 85.

.

That is a strange thing about on here, you feel like you know people you have never met and see their kids growing up. Maybe that's an indication that we spend too much time online :D

It is funny, we chit chat about our hobby, congradulate our "friends" when they have a new addition to the family, watch the kids grow...in the end, I feel like I know a few of you out there. It's kinda cool really. I know if I was ever in Glasgow, I would have someone to reach out to for advise on what to do!! I feel as long as I keep it to a quick surf in the morning with coffee and maybe a browse in the evening, it's all good. In the digital camera age, a fair amount of time in front of the computer is inherent.

Big Sis was a good sport about letting the little guy have all the attention. It's tough for them at this age to be excited for others. All these shots were f/2.2 with bounced flash off ceiling.

it's an indication that we're all using our kiddos for some test shots when new camera/lens or lightings are acquired. :D

The colours captured are great Cory, got a real depth to them. What body do you shoot with?

Edit - "colors" in your parts ;)
