Canon EF-M Lens Adapter Kit for Canon EF / EF-S Lenses Is this a viable option to save my 10-22 and Nifty Fifty? I found a couple of reviews that makes this appear to be very sensible, but I must be missing something...???

Which is why I am keeping the lens, and my 60D. Not only does a better EFs UWA zoom not exist, there is no selection of EFs UWA primes to be had, either. While the 10-22 is a great lens, I'm sure FF options totally crush it. The samyang is significantly wider, and better optically. I use it in conjunction with a 24-70 and don't feel like I'm missing in between. Had an older 17-35 tamron and sure it beats any crop alternative.. Cost only 200, great glass, but I was reaching for the samyang too often, so gave it to BIL since he had a craving for UWA. I have been shooting with a 40D, so the 6D should be a pretty big deal for me.....I can't wait for it to come - today! Since Canon was out of stock on the refurb 17-40 when I ordered my body, I decided to wait till to try my 24-70 before I go for a wider angle the lens.

Not too long ago I sold my 50D to get an Olympus OM-D E-M5 but have only very recently sold that for the 6D. I then sold my Sigma 8-16 (and added some cash) for the 17-40. I love this combo. Believe it or not, 24mm is actually very wide on FF and I find I use that FL quite a lot. You may just want to get something like the Samyang 14mm 2.8 for nightscapes etc and not purchase the 17-40 at all, since you already own the 24-70. Scrumhalf Cream of the Crop ![]() More info | Jan 13, 2014 16:43 | #39 Congratulations! 24mm is fairly wide on a FF. I just sold my 10-22, so I am officially UWA-less for now. When I looked at all my crop photos, I rarely found my 17-55 to be not wide enough, so I suspect that I probably will be ok for now with just my 24-70 as well. Sam

I know that is out of budget, but maybe a cheaper sigma option? Don't they make a 20 or something? Canon also makes another 24, not sure of price though. Everything is relative.

Jan 17, 2014 21:30 | #42 Such great info....appreciate the flickr link....probably don't have the guts to do it, though! I like the sounds of $300, and I'm just now experimenting with my 24-70 and definitely see a difference from the cropped body - I sometimes do interior shots for real estate stuff....so I think I may still need something more. So I'll be checking out all the options mentioned here....much appreciation to those who responded!
