Located on the road from Furnace Creek to Badwater, most visitors don't even know that Mushroom Rock is there..

This was taken with a light rain coming down that brought out some of the Desert colors

Nice shot Larry. I like it when photographers look for the beauty in lesser known places instead of lining up in rows at well known icons.

The rock is maybe 6' tall. This is a hard rock to shoot since there's a road right to the left of the rock. You can see the road in my shot. Larry did a good job keeping it out of his photo. This is a reason I use Google Earth before going somewhere, to find the cool things.
