Thanks Jenn! I boosted the blue a little in LR to bring out the pink in the moon shot. Looking at it now though I think I need to readjust the horizon in the second picture

quality setting? my 2 up there were shot in manual, but i don't think thats what makes it "clear". i adjusted some stuff on LR5 yes, a little on clarity. but also you just have to make sure you focus correctly, have good exposure, and also have fun!

Not sure what you mean with quality setting.. But most shoot raw instead of JPEG, and do some adjustments in post processing, like adding sharpness and contrast.

Sorry, wasn't sure what to call the setting. DutchinCLE hit it, RAW vs L (Jpeg).

FINALLY got my Flickr account straight and working, This was taken with a Vivitar 135mm/2.8 that I happened on in a pawn-shop for $10 about 4 days before Christmas (I knew I was getting the camera). Camera set to max JPEG or "best" JPEG setting.

LadFromNE, I don't think I've ever taken a portrait that is any good. YOU seem to do a great job; quite a bit of talent showing in your powerful images. You've captured a lot of emotion. Very nice!
