So many incredible shots in this thread. I am thinking about getting this lens for my landscapes.

What do you guys think about the corners? I know that it produces prime sharpness in the center, but what about the corners? :)

I did want to get the 16-35L II, but it has mediocre corner sharpness, and then again 24mm is wide enough for me.

IMO you will find the corners adequately sharp. Few of us use our lenses wide open for landscape work, but even if you found it necessary I believe you will be more than happy with the results.

The lens is not perfect by any means, but one aspect that doesn't get the attention it deserves is that the image contrast has been improved quite considerably...the pictures seem to have more snap that they used to.

Is it as good as a number of primes? Probably not. But it is better than some primes, and its a good lens and versatile enough for many of us.

Growing old disgracefully!

Work and family have kept me close to home lately, hopefully I'll get out for a dedicated landscape trip soon. In the meantime, loving this lens!

Here's one from near the back of my property at 70mm looking at the house and garden - it was hovering right around 0 degrees, -15 windchill and snow over my knees. I wish the horses had been over to visit but they were hanging out by the feed bin.
