Wife wanted to take the niece snow tubing... however, plans got interrupted.

I really want to carry my camera around this weekend, but not sure what to shoot.

Not really big into cars. Thanks, though. I want landscape, scenery or cultural (just not car culture).

Nice! Didn't know about that.

My sister is a climber... so maybe we'll do some outdoor climbing when she visits in the spring.

I just got back form New Orleans. Safe to say I'm not happy.

Safe? I mean, yourself? I have been there twice, both times during Mardi Gras. Business meeting, so after the meeting the group went to town to see the parades. Everybody in the group who did not leave the wallets in the hotel had them picked in French Quarter (I left mine). Absentmindedly I stuck the restaurant check in the pants back pocket. Picked too. Really left a bad aftertaste, even after good food, music outdoor, happy crowd, and flashing girls! :-)

Bourbon Street was quiet while I was there this week. Had no issues at all with pickpocketing.

I'll be in New Orleans in two weeks for a half marathon. Thanks for the heads up not to bring my wallet anywhere.

Just stick some cash and a credit card into the shirt pocket. Plus keep in mind that the city is not safe outside of French Quarter, the Promenade, and the square with the famous cathedral (I do not remember its name now). Not even during the daytime. Coming from the same source who told us not to bring the wallets.

There is not really much to do there. I was in the city twice, and both times had only two evenings and one afternoon for myself. A few colleagues of mine brought there wives with them to have some vacation after, and they all later said that it was a waste of time.

Jackson Square is what you're thinking about.

Also, if you plan on going to Frenchman St which is on the outskirts of the Quarter, where all the great jazz bars are, take a cab, even if it's only three blocks.

I went during the off season and I only drove though it. I ended up just saying scratch that idea but it didn't look safe.

I think it was also a few years after Katrina.

Sister says wife and I are always taking engagement type photos. I guess we're making up for bad wedding photos. The Phottix Aion remote was acting up (I think maybe for weak batteries) and I had to make do with the body's 10 sec. timer.

On Saturday, wife wanted winter photos since we don't have any. We had a window of time to get to the Arboretum between when she got home from work (when snowfall was heaviest, which she really wanted) and before the warm temps started melting stuff off the trees.

Yes, yes... we're a cheesy couple.

Grabbed the Groupon for Bella Luna and had dinner there afterwards. First time EVER that a place made my steak exactly to my liking: rare to medium rare.

I like the food and trivia nights at Bella Luna.

Nice pic, Nathan.
