For those that didn't ready about the story in the photos of my Dad's bike, a modified recap...

These were for my Dad for his Birthday. I was also doing my Mum's bike for Christmas. Anyway, this is Dad's new bike. Only a week or so after taking them, both of my parents were involved in an accident dealing out around 10k worth of damage. Luckily, neither of them sustained life-threatening injuries, but a ride in an Ambulance was required. My Mum's bike was repaired only a couple of days before Christmas, so it was a major effort to get there, do the shoot and edit them in only 24 hrs.

And these are of my Mum's bike.

What did you use to get the good highlights in #s 2 & 4? Did you take a set-up shot of either of those?
And, did you see this? Post 2047

I think that is a V-Star not a Roadstar.

#2 looks like it was light painted. You can see the reflection in the tank and the shadow under the bike is soft.

Yep. #2 was painted with a Flouro tube-style light, #4 was all natural.
