I have not been here for a log time! It is great to see so many great 5Dc images still being posted here, I think it is time to dig out my 5Dc and experience the magic again ;)

your exif info shows that you used an EF-S 17-55mm @ 55mm on your 5D.

how'd you do that?

Good eye! As you may (or may not) know technically you cant use EFS lenses on FF. The shutter thingy will hit the lens and possibly get damaged with the lens at the widest focal length. Simple and failsafe solution is to use an extension tube - I used the 12mm tube. Stacking the tubes makes the lens useless, cant focus. And with the 12mm on the minimum focus distance is drastically changed - my little experiment is usefull for close objects. Here is the original, uncropped image.

Pretty cool,eh? :)

^^^ That's pretty nifty, Ed. Never thought of using extension tubes. I use my Tamron 17-50mm on the 5D sometimes, using an extender. That works well too but of course the lens becomes 23.8-70mm.

Thanks Levina!
I suspect the extender gives better results - no cropping needed and maintains better focal length. I may invest in a good extender - what type (brand) do you use Levina?

I meant to ask - you said you use an "extender",as in a teleconverter. Is that correct? If so,what specific extender do you use? I always thought the Tamron 17-50 was primarily an EF-S lens, which if Im right it cannot be used on an extender. What am I missing?

Actually,if anybody could give me some insite on this Ide be greatful.

Hi
I have a hard time deciding. Today I have a 70D with two lenses (120-300/2.8 OS + 90/2.8 Macro) and in the future, I aim to start shooting portraits. I have a 5D + battery grip with 1 extra battery waiting to be picked. The price is 350 USD with 6 months warranty. Is it a great price? I've never photograph with a FF camera. I know what it is and about Everything.

I photograph wildlife for most.
should I buy a super-wide-angle lens instead?

Whats the body condition like? $350 USD for a 5D body sounds like a real good deal.
