Great series DragonSpeed! Always wanted to try and time a trip down to Van with being able to catch this perspective. Fantastic shots - really like the last 2 man.

Sure can be wonderful. The winter rain is a bit spirit sucking, but when this happens... Wow!

Thank you! Three trips up and ONE turned out to be good for just enough, but not too much fog. If you DO come down... you're rolling the dice.

Another set from Saturday, when my wife and I headed up for a shot a the inversion.
Fog was a bit too high up on Saturday, but the sunrise was spectacular:

1. Mount Baker

Fantastic shots. Colours of the sky and the mist are incredible.

DragonSpeed, do you often have such thick fog in Vancouver?

Nice work Dragonspeed - whereabouts are you shooting from?

Ursyn - we typically get a week or two of it in late fall, then not much else throughout the year. For some reason, thought, there's been a lot this last week.

Thanks - Sunrises are often better than sunsets :) We only get these inversions usually once or twice a year, and always in the cooler Nov-Feb period.

Great location, great shots!

Thank you. It's one of the few high vantage points over the city.

Thank you Sunny! Yes - and the road opens at 07:00 during the winter ski season.
