The frequency of the "Nikon has superior DR" and "Canon has better high ISO" and "Canon has poor shadow recovery" and "learn to expose properly" and "get it right in camera" posts sometimes gives me the feeling that POTN is a like a repetitive fever dream.
Just to weigh in with my own opinion, my motto is "get it right in Photoshop". Of course I want to do my best in camera, but I love Photoshop. That, among other things, makes me lacking as a photographer. But, I'm OK with it: it's the luxury that comes with photography as a hobby vs. being professional.

some people really take it personally when Canon isn't the top dog.
I think anyone should be able to agree that more dynamic range is better, just as higher clean iso is better, or cross type af is better than non.
I know i got one 6d user seriously mad as i called the outer focus points if the 6d antiquated. Yet outside of that i personally think the 6d is a fine camera that doesn't have banding and is great at high iso.
Like thomas has been saying some things are just facts. Like the d800 having a better sensor.
I'm trying to stay in the waiting game for now. What i need to do is upgrade my camera body so i would like to see what Canon hss in store. But whether Canon surpasses Nikon/Sony or not im not going to ridicule anyone for shooting with whatever brand they shoot......
Well said elitejp.
