Lots of nice images guys!!! Even though I'm not that thrilled with my copy, it looks like overall it's a winner for everybody else.

6D, last one is ISO 12800; gotta love the 6D :)

Light was really bad, had to shoot at ISO 3200-6400

Here are some shots from today from me. All are cropped, some of them 50-70%.
My Sigma still beats these with the 2x tc on though (at more than twice the price).

JV, Grizz, Gabe: great samples last page.

Gabe, what is it that you think makes this lens not for you? I was wondering about the Tamron's quality of handling, feel, and snappiness of AF compared to your 120-300? I'm probably going to end up with a Tamron, but I'm still having doubts about whether to buy it or save and spend a WAY BIGGER chunk on a 300 2.8 or 120-300 with my tax return.

Nice work Gabe, love the male cardinal, I usually have several pairs around my house in the winter but for some reason this year I see one male who is very skittish and I can't get him to "pose" for me.
So far I'm pleased with the lens and I think the learning curve is pretty steep for me as I've only shot with a really long zoom a few times but I find it's getting easier.
Now I need SUN!! :-)

Gabe thanks for all that testing with Lego box and of course the in field shots are pretty awesome per usual as well. thanks everyone else for all these kickazz images as well. This lense is solid.

Gabe hopefully you can get you happy with it somehow, :) as I know you were eagerly awaiting this one.

Gabe; how much of your feelings are on the image quality/sharpness, vs the color rendering between the two lenses? Colors with the Tamron, to me, seem...flatter...than with my 100-400 or the stuff I've seen you put out with the Sigma

I'm seeing this too albeit with one short outing in pretty crazy weather (blowing snow, wind, etc.). The colors in post seemed a bit dull and lacked contrast compared to my 100-400. I need much more time (and some decent weather/lighting) to form any solid opinions.
