I was told from Adorama about a week ago it would be another two weeks. SO I am guessing we will see them around the first of Feb.

I hope the same with my order at B&H.

I was told the same. But, I was also told that they had no idea how many they would be getting, so couldn't even guess at whether my order would be fulfilled by the next shipment. Which is why I snagged one elsewhere this morning.

Just got a notice that my order from this morning has shipped. No actual tracking number though. And I paid extra for 2nd day shipping, but the estimated delivery date is showing as the 27th.

Not going to cancel my Adorama order just yet...

Picking up my copy of this on Friday from my local store- I seem to be in a totally different position to everyone else on here and will shortly be experimenting on how reliable it is on a 650d, 100d and EOS M body... (Which should look brilliant if nothing else)

My main priority with kit has always been keeping weight as low as possible and years back I ended up ditching my 40d as being just too heavy and switching over to rebels. This has been the first lens that might tempt me back into the heavier body camp as in for a penny, in for a pound!

I've just come back from Antarctica where I had great fun shooting with the 100-400 I'd rented for the trip (although am now beginning to doubt looking and all the other images in this thread that I've ever taken a sharp shot in my life), but could definitely have done with more reach on certain occasions, so as I'm off to the high Arctic this summer this seems like the ideal opportunity to take the plunge and buy a long lens, as I get the feeling I'll need more practice than a short-term rental can give me with this one.

Can't find that post talking about the price rise, but just noticed an Aussie shop's pre-order price has gone up $50 to $1249.

I got the following from Adorama on the 20th:

"We now have an ETA from Tamron of 2 weeks for the next delivery!":
