Very good, if you have lots of space to shoot in.

I was actually able to try one such lens...
Its superb, I might say just a little bit less sharp then the 70-200 2.8 IS II, but that is really only pixel peeping, it can prodce around the same level of background blur.

Only thing I miss in the lens is IS, that would help a lot, but still, its a SUPERB lens, especially for its prise.

Man, there just seems to be a serious lack of love for this lens.

200 f/2.8 does basketball

Shot at f/2.8 with a 5D-III.

Greater flamingos on the salinas in Murcia, Spain last week...

Most were quite pale - obviously not getting much carotine in their diet...
