thats a good question seeing as ml didn't rebuild a sensor but just wrote some code

I'm confused! Everything I've read in the links above refers to something like "this feature" but none say what feature they are talking about. Some refer to something like "when used with dual-iso" so it must not be dual-iso they are talking about.

Right, but what tweak are they talking about. What tweak adds 0.5 stops? Which build is it in? If it is a feature that needs to be enabled we need to know what it is to enable it.

Looks like this is only interesting if you are into high ISO shooting.

And of course, this trick won't fix the shadow banding.

So I read the first page again. It may be part of the base ML code (on by default) or it may be called Sensor Update or ADTG as a feature. Who knows. Anyway it will be interesting to see the results.
