Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II

And i really see many many photos these days on Canon lenses galleries done with 5DIII/5DII, i don't see much from 1 series cameras, so 5D series price made it a first choice over 1 series cameras.

You'll have to pry my 1dsmkII out of my cold dead hand ;D Usually use that with my 90mm ts-e.

I've been using my 5DIII with the 24mm as Canon have had my 1Dx for a few days to clean the sensor etc. Got it back today so I'm looking forward to using it with the 24mm next week.

I see, good, i also gave up my 1Ds2, but i have 1Ds3 as my strong FF next to 1DX, and i am not sure if going with 5D3 is a good move, honestly i am now looking for a Sony A7R due to high MP, unless Canon will produce a new camera that is bigger than 24mp at least.

I would have liked to get the 1dsIII but it was still around 4500 used when I bought my 1dsII. I'm longing for the 1dsIII though.The one thing I miss in the 1dsII is live view which comes in very handy with tilt shifts. I also have some interest in the A7R but I'm so hard on gear it probably wouldn't be the best option for me. I'd like to see Canon pull their heads out of their butt and give us a a beast of a landscape camera. I'm just not sure I see it happening for some time.

Well, i don't give up quickly with Canon, once upon a time they were leaders and they are almost the first coming with FF in digital between the 4 big names [Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji], so i don't want just withdraw from Canon because other brands going higher than Canon items, the strong thing that keep Canon on top for me is their lenses, with Canon the only lens that i hear is on top quality is 14-24, i don't know about anything of Sony or Fuji lenses for their 35mm DSLRs, but Canon lenses are known with many collection from many photographers even Nikon shooters themselves.

3 shot pano, f10, 3.2 seconds.

Even with the shift I had to tilt the whole rig up quite a bit because the trees are so huge. I tilted the lens to compensate the focal plane for the camera tilt, which worked great.

I took bracketed shots for the dynamic range, but it was a little windy, so this is basically a single exposure with a few shadow areas blended in that were sheltered enough to avoid motion blur.

Both with a degree or so of downward tilt.

Shift Panorama. I didn't realize it but my dad ended up in the frame under the large rock to the left, so you get a good sense of scale in this one.
