Called customer service for an ETA. Was told there is up to a 30 day wait. When I asked if that was just a standard response, I was told it was the worst case scenario and the expected shipment includes enough for everyone who ordered.

So, emailed for an update. Got this back:

"No timeline as of yet, as out last deadlines have passed without delivery.

We continue to check with the manufacturer for updates. Due to the demand, we did up the amount ordered, which may have caused a delay especially in supplying components.

We will provide updates to all of our Genesis backorder customer when we can."

I'm guessing we won't see these in 2013.

Thanks. Called last week for info and was told the shipment was expected Dec 16, but only estimated at time they ordered. On the positive side, it is a large shipment covering all backorders plus new stock.

FYI, I ordered the wireless trigger ($27) and bulb protector ($4.50) on eBay from a US Seller. Shipped the next day. Hope they offer the other accessories at similar prices.

Called today because Cheetah seemed to have just gotten some in. No new news really. But the CS rep mentioned mid to end of January but said she didn't have a lot of info yet and hopefully would after the holidays.

Anyone else buy the beauty dish? Description and box say it includes a honeycomb grid but all I received was a diffusion sock. Cheetah has the same thing with grid, stating they offer the sock exclusively. Will sort it out with Calumet, just thought I'd share the info.

EDIT: Calumet acknowledged an error and is shipping the grid out.

They never got the Y cable in stock for a long time, so upon request, they removed that from my order. I was able to pick that up cheaper via ebay. Used this flash for a couple of professional portrait shoots already and couldn't be happier!
