I ordered some wireless triggers from an ebay seller in China and it made it to Detroit in 2 days and it hasn't moved from Detroit going on 5 days now, I guess it is stuck in customs for some reason. Oh well I guess the U.S. snail mail will get it to me one of these days. :D

Keep in mind that the "tracking" systems used for international shipping often stop tracking once the package hits the USPS. More often than not I get the package before the tracking actually updates within the US.

Thanks Gonzogolf for the info, will be checking the mail box (don't check it everyday) instead of the tracking of shipment.

I made a mistake, it is Chicago, don't know where I came up with Detroit.

I grew up a couple of hours from Detroit and it's not that bad. In fact, my cousin called the other day to let me know he found a great job in Detroit. He's a tail gunner on a beer truck.

I guess we've been pretty fortunate to always have had great USPS carriers. We've lived in the Midwest, West, South and now Hawaii and have not had any bad carriers. Slow delivery days ( I'm not always on time when slammed with extra work either ), but the carriers always have had pride in their work.

Maybe the problem in your route trickles down from a rotten Post Master? Hope it improves for you.

Right now I am wishing the same thing, customs is still holding my package hostage, been waiting for a ransom note from them.

Customs isn't part of USPS. It's part of Dept. of the Treasury. Blame where it's due.

Thanks for the info, Got an update through email it finally moved down the street to the USPS, now 3 to 5 business days, betting more like 5 days (2-3-14) before Buffalo Bill Cody comes riding up on his horse. :D
