To Yank

THank you for the Italian one, I have never read that and look forward to after work.

I assume you have read this writeup, not technical as all, but has many sample real-world pictures. As opposite to stock tests http://petapixel.com …usly-thin-depth-of-field/ (external link)

To jwcdds If you would be so kind to send him a link to your blog comparison, I found in interesting, I cannot find my bookmark of it :(

I found 4 of them, unfortunately none are local or even close to local, and all are $5,000-$6,000 :( Then there is always eBay.

You mean this doohickey that I put together?

The Mighty One (external link)

It was/is meant as some food for thought.

But if anyone is interested in having me do additional tests between the 1.0/1.2, time permitting (and that the suggested tests aren't too overly technical for my pea-sized brain to handle), I will do my best to oblige.

I was not implying additional work at all. I found your writeup to be a great experience.
I just lost your link and thought Yank may want to read it as well.

Enjoy Thailand! In spite of me living in Japan, I have done very little foreign traveling. My current job always for much time off each year, now it's just a matter of deciding and buying plane tickets, not the 50L 1.0 :D But that lens was never about 'logic' why start now.

Nice shot it's a good thing he is holding on to that handrail at f/1.0 it actually creates a mini black hole and you risk sucking in kids and pets :)
