Snow owl - Albany NY - Albany Airport

This is my first outside shot using this lens and I was using it with my Tamron 1.4x teleconverter. Late afternoon, overcast skies with flurries and the wind was blowing 15-20mph and I was about 40 - 50 yards away. Hand held. Not the crispiest shot, but I like it considering the conditions I shot in.

I did crop the shot and added some brightness. IS was on, but the wind was moving this lens pretty good.

I'm looking forward to better conditions and better shots. I still have a lot to learn with this lens. I'm enjoying the lens. Thanks for looking.

Mike

Given the conditions you described, I would say you managed to pull off a very decent shot. Cheers!!

duymy, nice portraits.. the little girl is so perfect.

Hendrik, great bird pic. You must have been very close for that one!

I am thinking of buying one of these lenses again, I think for the 3rd time! Just need someone to take my 70-200 2.8 first.
