Passed by the Yorkville dam yesterday on the Fox river. I was surprised to see it frozen over so no eagles in the area. :(

They were flying around pretty good yesterday in that wind, but the numbers were down in the trees at the park. They just kept appearing out of nowhere.

With all the wind today fishing was much tougher for the eagles. Any sign of a catch and a pursuit almost always followed and of course some times confrontation.

Rock River today at rock falls. It got dark right after I got there but there was a lot of action going on, so it was fun watching.

I wrote the city and asked if they'd put up signs suggesting people not disturb the winter eagles but no reply. Maybe someone should just make some and put them up themselves.

The ice was a very popular hang out yesterday as well. I think those particular eagles were "cherry picking".
