I hate this computer, the keys are dark and I can't read the letters. I'm going to get stickers for each key,,,, or throw it against a wall. GAH!vmad

You know there are such things as glow in the dark keyboards, they might help.

Learn Braille and put little bumpy thingies on the keys. Bonus is, if you go blind you're already all set up. Of course, enjoying POTN might be difficult.

That was cute, Bill. You don't come out of the woodwork often enough.

Some progress info:

Beta test phase one has been completed and thanks to a wonderful test crew AMASS has been come very close to release. When I have coded the remaining stuff, I'll place AMASS to its new server and invite a lot more members to check it out. I am a bit busy with my day job now, so the next phase will happen by realistic estimation in about 1 month.

With beta many things were improved, added and tuned: a "For Your Eyes Only" page with all personal account stuff, image upload tool was perfected, followed threads system tweaked and modified, graphical bugs corrected, typography improved, all sorts of migration help added like new posts page, lots of improved and added features done, autosave tested, autourls tested, notification system was made great, spelling errors and grammar corrected etc etc etc. Lots of bugs were found and fixed!

Most rewarding thing was that the test crew enjoyed the beta a lot, had fun and chatty time there! A very successful beta IMHO.

Sounds good :).

I assume you will transfer the whole vBulletin database to your new software? (GIven that a Forum's value lies in its stored knowledge.)
OR have you been synching in the background?

All content will be transferred, all user accounts will be preserved. Because data storage is done in very different way and there are tons of new kind of processed data the upgrade process takes hours. It's all scripted, though.

I'd assume you'd transfer it.
If you say it takes hours, what about synchronising in the background?

So I'm assuming POTN will be down during the upgrade? We'll all be like kids on Christmas morning waiting for the site to come back up! :D
