So I ended up getting the 6D for this lens and I've loved the combination of high ISO performance plus the versatility of the 28-300. It's been great for portraits and landscapes and whatever I run into travelling. One of the 6D's limitations is it's sports performance but I found that it can do pretty well in the right circumstances! Plus, again, the range of the 28-300 is hard to beat.

At 135mm

And at 300mm

Fully agreed that the 6D + 28-300mm is a potent combo. I don't consider F3.5 slow nor fast, but with the ISO gifted 6D 3.5 is suddenly capable of much more in the speed department.
Here's one I grabbed this weekend shooting eagles. The 5DIII had the long lens so the 6D nabbe this dastardly character:

Coupon- good work! I've found my 35-350 is a whole new lens on my 6D as opposed to my 7D. I'm guessing some 28-300 owners are finding the same thing.
