This lens look great for full-body portrait without background blur in sunlight condition.

The 24 L and 35 L and 16-35 L look very great for full-body portrait without background blur, but they're extremely expensive, I can't buy it.

(85 and 70-200 series're just suitable for full-body portrait with background blur, I must set aperture to f16 to make background not blue)

I agree. The 40mm is becoming my most used lens on my 6D.
But it can't beat my 24L in the bokeh department. I shoot more and more below 2.8
I chose the 40mm over the 35L to save my wallet for the 24L II. Great decision.

I really like this photograph. The composition, color and contrast are wonderful.

Plus, it brings me back to my childhood. We had a guitar that looked just like that, sitting in a dark corner. It would collect sunlight through the window and it always caught my attention. Plus, I see you're from Canada. I was raised on Gordon Lightfoot. My mother loved his music and it seeped into me. I still listen to his stuff and love it, although I don't know any other person who agrees with me. Guess I'm old school.

About the lens: I'm going to pick one up tomorrow when my 6D arrives. Should be a ton of fun combining this tiny pancake with that larger (but not huge) body.

Can anyone recommend a cheap Walmart/Bestbuy Bag that will fit that combo snugly?

Yes, I have other bags, but I'm looking forward to something small for when I take out the 6D and 40.

^ The 6D and 40 is my go to combo now. I never though I would use them together as much as I do. I can shoot all day and evening with the 40mm. 2.8 at iso 3200 is the max I would go handheld. You will love it. So far, it has keep me from buying a 35L, so far

This has become my go to lens when I'm riding. On the 1D3 it fits perfectly in a tankbag and I don't have to worry about it. Love it!
