1D = Full Frame
7D = Crop Body

I would assume because he wanted a full frame body.

I got it wrong. I thought that was a 1.3 body. Is there a 1.3 :)?

my 1Dmkii is a 1.3X crop. It has the APS-H sensor. the middle between FF and crop. All 1D series cameras are 1.3X crop unless it has the letter 's' such as 1Ds, 1Ds mkii, 1Ds mkii. 1DX is the only exception :)

also ive been stuck at home. never left the house yesterday because i knew it was going to be a disaster. ive seen some great traffic jam and city photos on facebook though

Luckily I don't have any good ones, I'm glad that I missed most of the chaos. I did take me over 2 hours to get from my campus to my daughter's school. To be honest, I heard there was a possibility of snow, but didn't take it too serious. We were in the middle of class when someone came in and told us to go home. (It was a lab with no windows)
Lots of cars trying to squeeze in, 2min. later the intersection was blocked and the Fire dept. SUV had a hard time making it through:

Today, looking northbound on 400, still a few cars left:

oh, I have pictures...

I went out this morning to check on the wifes car which she left on 400 about 2 miles from home last night...I was going to hopefully bring it home...I was successful, it was still there, and had not been hit. Others were not so lucky. As I was walking down the ramp to 400, which was mighty weird experience in and of itself...a car going way too fast NB hit some ice, and spun...directly into a double stacked row of parked cars...cars were scattering everywhere...

Anyway...this was Old Alabama when I set out this morning, a solid inch of ice from one side to the other as far as I could see.

the clusterf**k of cars on the hill that no one could get passed...but people clearly kept trying.

The parking lot at the Waffle House was packed, and it was standing room only inside, I bet they had a record night last night...the wife said the place was packed when she walked past it last night at 10PM.

From the top of the Holcomb Bridge Exit ramp...it was nothing but ice.

Crazy gridlock...and they were all empty except for two cars.

I was not alone...this fella in front of me ran out of gas about 2 miles down 400 from this point...

Recovering the car...I had no real trouble getting home...save for the people that acted like there was no ice, continued to drive too fast and tailgate...yes, tailgate me on icy roads...knuckleheads.

No car jam photos.
Though, leaving work at 12 noon from Newnan, it took me 3 hours to get to Ellenwood.
I count this as actually lucky!
Next door neighbor car is STILL not home!

One from the first day, after getting home:
FujiFilm X-E1 and Fujinon 18-55:

IMAGE: http://www.cornbread.com/~buggz/DSCF3171-resized.jpg

And one from this evening:
Kodak SLR/C and Canon 24-105, I used a 77-82mm step-up ring and an 82mm ND4 filter.
You can see vignetting @ 24mm, shrug, I didn't want to crop the image...

Good shots of the snowstorm, everyone. I got caught up in it, but thought early enough to get a hotel room rather than try to drive home. Been in a hotel in Sandy Springs. Hoping to get home to Smyna tomorrow. I took lots of shots yesterday and today, and will post some when I get back to my computer. Stay warm!
