Did you blur the tires in post?

Great panning job. Did you have a media pass to shoot these or were you in the stands? When I took in a Monster Jam event in Anaheim last year, the security did not allow long lens. My 70-200 f2.8 was a no no.
Good job, thanks for sharing.

No I did not blur the bg, or tires in post. It's done by choosing the right ss for the shot you want.

No I shoot for them when they're in town.

^ I understand how shutter speed works. :) It just looks like the tires are moving faster than the wheels, especially in 2 and 3.

They were questioning my 135L at last year's event. I can imagine the 70-200 would be a definite no.

Grave Digger (photo 3) is my fav. Kinda has a 3-D effect the way it pops out from the back ground. Good work.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

They were. The outside of the wheel has a farther distance to travel in one revolution (bigger circumference) than the inside, therefore it travels faster.

Rick, I really like the third one. I shoot this in Jacksonville and it's a fun event to shoot.
