Beach near Piedras Blancas Ligthhouse about 5 miles from San Simeon

Yes, that's the spot. Over to you.

When I took this shot I was originally wanting to shoot the sunset from the Piedras Blancas light house but they closed off the road to it right as we arrived. I was a bit disappointed since the actually sunset wasn't anything special that day(no clouds), so the light house would have been to have in the frame. I did walk away with a bunch on nice seal photos(taken with other body and telephoto lens) and something to use for WAIN.

Ah, that makes sense, especially since I also remember that you guest the Pismo Beach from memory. I figured it was guessed from memory since the light house is within walking distance for most, so if you were searching on google you should have seen which beach it was. That's pretty impressive that you remember it from way back in the 60's, especially since a there isn't much for land marks aside form a couple of big offshore rocks and seals that frequent the beach.

I thought you just thought it was in the area and would come back with name of the spot, but now I guess you knew exactly where it was but just didn't have a name because it didn't have one when you was last there.
