What is your favorite camera backpack?

I want to consolidate my photography equipment in one camera backpack.
What is your favorite camera backpack? And why?

I already have Lowe tubes for my lenses. Is it just as easy to pack my lenses in their tubes and carry it all in an old backpack?

How much gear are you going to carry at once, and how far? That will impact the answer.

Some popular brands to consider are F-stop, Gura Gear, ThinkTank, Lowe Pro...

I like my F-stop Loka. It is very comfortable to wear fully loaded with gear and water. The rear access proved itself in the snow last weekend; the part I set in the snow never touched me when I carried it.

I like lowepro flipside, no other reason than thats the one I have.

^^^This^^^....dependin​g on how much gear I need to carry, and where I'm carrying it, I go back and forth between a Clik elite pro elite, Clik Elite venture 35, or think tank airport essentials.

Lowepro flipside sport 20l aw - recent purchase - so far - very impressed.
Holds a lot of gear! Feels well balanced.

Sounds like a regular backpack might work for you though?

My F Stop Guru, because it is pretty much perfect for hiking and day trips.

i like and backpack that does not look like a camera backpack.just a well made backpack with camera inserts.

As above its a bit hard to know without the gear you want to carry.

My favourite backpack is the F-Stop Loka. It's perfect for carry on luggage, comfortable, holds a good amount of camera gear along with a laptop/tablet and personnel items.

I like the flipside series from lowepro.

I really love the size of the 400 AW, but the 200 is so much easier to flip to the front of your body. So I like the 200 more for it's usability but the 400AW has much more space which I need.

My favorite is the think tank hardrive(non-pro). It doesn't look like a thick camera backpack and while it doesn't carry all of my gear it will hold what I'd need for most shoots.

Definitely the f-stop for carrying a lot of gear.

The best looking backpack (IMO) is the Crumpler Karachi Outpost. A few different sizes, but they don't really hold that much. But it is the most comfortable backpack I have ever worn and looks the best as well.

1) What gear do you want to carry?

2) How far will you carry it and across what type of terrain?

3) How often and how quickly do you need to access your gear?

4) What additional gear do you need to carry? (jacket, clothes, sleeping bag, etc)

5) What is your budget?

Once you answer these 5 questions, then we can offer you some meaningful advice.
