Nice exercise. Note however that your 100L is "only" f/2.8, so you can do:

2x2 for 50/1.4 equivalent
3x3 for 35/1.0 equivalent
4x4 for 25/0.7 equivalent

Remember to add the overlapping "glue shots" in case you compose with a program.

Well I got a 24mm 50mm and 100mm, but I figured 24L inside may show too much distortion, my livingroom is not large.
And it's snowing outside. :(
Ill start with a 4 x 4 on my 50 1.4 and go from there.

EDIT**** "Large Rabbit" = "Large Camera Lens" aka white telephoto?

Meaning?
I took apart a 28-70L but I don;t want to take apart this f 1.0 lens It is rare and hard to replace. About 10,00 were made. (5,000 actually)
I have been busy and not touched this lens.
They say the 1.0 is soft wide open, many people mistake this for a focus problem.
In the end the f 1.0 is the best and ultimate optical design (agreed)

This thing is huge, it uses the same size and design as the current 85L lens. It is heavier than the 50L 1.2 as well.
Looks like he got brave, opened it up and resoldered a ribbon cable to fix the "fly by wire" AF in the 1.0?
Not sure.
After than much take of shooting a apertures other than 1.0 and locations.
Followed by many photos of the lens and shooting with the lens.

Hope that helps

Thank you InfiniteDivide

imagine having the balls to open that lens ;) i was hoping that he had found a way to perhaps use the usm motor from the 85mm.

I hope i get a chance to get out and shoot some more low light in the next few days

Sounds good, I got a busy weekend planned, hopefully nice clear skies, but I'm not counting on that. I will be out shooting clear or overcast :)
I am trying to exclusively use my 50 1.4 and at wide open in order to justify the 50L 1.2 purchase. But I find the slight wider 40mm stm to be "funner"

Here is a new video and will be updated with a full review FYI

Actually no, Canon did make, I believe, a screw mount 50mm f/.95. I think there's one on ebay. Check it out, crazy.

Yes, unfortunately the Canon f.95 is a rangefinder lens. I have search for a way to adapt it even losing infinity focus and there is no easy way to get good results. It is for the Leica primarily.
Currently considering a well-like Canon 55mm FL lens option in f 1.2. But a Nikon 50mm AIS 1.2 seems to be the cheapest alternative.

Found a 50mm 1.0 for $4,000, not local, but with a 6 month warranty, money back if it fails. Hmmmmm.....

Indeed, and compared to the other $5000 and $5,500 ones this one for $4,000 is CHEAP! ;)
(Shut up brain, that not cheap at all)

Not related to this thread but I decided against the 85L II and instead will be getting the 85mm Helios f1.5 for fun.
I have seen a couple sample galleries on Flickr and am convinced it will be fun wide open. But that comes after my 50mm lens.

Nah, if I get another 1D body, it'd be another 1DX. But I'm good on gear, actually more than good. I'm hoping 2014 is the year I won't add anything else to my collection. :p
