If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Hey everyone. I picked up this lens today and felt obligated to post something. Just playing around a little bit, but I can't help but be excited about this lens. The only downside is I've outgrown my camera bag..... :)

Adorable! I just made the decision to buy this lens; knowing I, too, will now need a new grab-and-go-bag. :)

Question, does anyone use this lens along with this filter --> B+W 77mm Kaesemann Circular Polarizer with Multi-Resistant Coating

If so, would you mind posting a picture or two?

Thanks in advance!

You could have picked one up for $1799 during the Canon rebate a couple of months ago.

It's a bit painful to hear that. I'm a day late and a dollar short. :p

Rebates happen about 2x/year. You'll still get your chance. Whether you have the patience to wait is another question.

Check this out:
http://shop.usa.canon.com …28l-is-ii-usm-refurbished (external link)

OK, it's a refurbished - BUT, it comes with 1 year warranty. I have purchased my 24-105 there and it is a good as it gets. Canon's refurbish process includes calibration and I think they do an excellent job. Every now and then they even offer 10,15,20% on those prices. You have to check every day though.

Cheers.
